INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES ON PERFORMANCE OF TEA COMPANIES IN NANDI COUNTY, KENYA

In Kenya, there is evident declining results in the Tea sector regard to competitor’s prices from competing countries, commitment of workers and declarations bonuses. On same note, although tea earns country second largest share export, has been inefficiency production insufficient demand for sale volume over last decade. The study aimed determine effect leadership competencies on Company’s performance Nandi County, Kenya. Strategic theory was used explain interrelationship between variables. Empirical literature reviewed scholarly studies its relationship with organizational performance. Descriptive research methodology used. unit analysis were management staff at 9 organizations County who total 121. survey adopted a census all 121 respondents population small manageable. Semi structured questionnaire through self- administration method collect data primary sources. Both content construct validity determined. add value areas strategic found that most factories uses guiding vision statement, mission statements, firm’s objectives factory’s principles guide their direction. concluded significantly positively affects factories. recommended should focus developing an organization's path creation vision, purpose, core values leadership.
